There’s no shortage of things to do in Tampa.

With a nickname of ‘Champa Bay’, It’s no surprise that professional sports have a huge presence in this city. The Buccaneers, Rays, and the Lightning have brought four championships to Tampa in the last few years. The Tampa area is also home to many teams spanning the sports world from professional baseball, football, and hockey.  Those visiting the Tampa area could easily make a vacation out of game-hopping from one sports facility to another and since they’re all in and around the Tampa area it’s only a matter of how many games can you fit in while in town!

TAMPA GROWTH

There is tremendous growth happening in Tampa, and as Tampa Bay continues to attract new residents and businesses, we are seeing major new developments that will add to the community’s growing collection of unique experiences. A few of Tampa’s most notable current developments include the Tampa EDITION, Gas Worx, and the Tampa Riverwalk.

Tampa EDITION

Gas Worx

Tampa’s local economy is worth over $130 billion, and the metro area is the 3rd fastest growing in Florida.

The Tampa EDITION

One exciting project to look out for is the city’s first full-service, five-star hotel, the Tampa EDITION will be located in the heart of the Water Street Tampa district, offering boutique amenities, 38 residences, retail, a high-end restaurant, and pristine architectural elements. At the moment there is nothing comparable to the EDITION Residences in this market, which offers a thrilling new perspective on Tampa living.

Gas Worx

Construction is soon expected to begin on the high anticipated mixed-use development, Gas Worx, which is all about “connecting people” and located in Ybor City. Planned on 50 acres at the western edge of Ybor City, the development is expected to take more than 10 years to complete, will add more than 5,000 apartments, 500k+ square feet of office space, 140k+ square feet of retail space, and green space – creating a walkable neighborhood in Tampa’s urban core.

Tampa Riverwalk

The City of Tampa was recently awarded $24 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation to extend the west side of the Tampa Riverwalk for 12.2 miles northward, connecting neighborhoods on the west side of Hillsborough River to downtown Tampa. It will connect three designated Opportunity Zone neighborhoods to downtown and provide safe mobility options for pedestrians and bicyclists to commute to the University of Tampa, and the neighborhoods of West Tampa, Ybor City, Tampa Heights, and downtown Tampa.

More than 126,000 new residents are forecast to move to Tampa by 2024. To fulfill this growing demand for homes, new construction projects are brewing throughout the city. Especially in Tampa’s hottest up-and-coming neighborhoods like Riverside Heights. Builders are targeting this area and are buying up all the remaining lots and also tearing down older homes to accommodate this growing population.

TAMPA REAL ESTATE

Tampa is the third-largest city in Florida – home to over 400,000 residents. Tampa is able to support its growing population due to its variety of neighborhoods and properties for all types of people and lifestyles. Whether it’s a walkable neighborhood with tree-lined streets near the best shops and restaurants like Hyde Park, a new construction home near the bay in Riverside Heights, ultra-luxury waterfront home in Davis Island, or a downtown condo with stunning views, Tampa has it all.

Whether you’re looking for a permanent residence, long-term rental or short-term investment property – your options are endless.

With its sunny weather and world-famous attractions, Tampa is one of the top tourist destinations in Florida. More than 100 million people visit every year, and that number is expected to skyrocket within the next decade as the city builds even more hotels, attractions, and waterfront properties. If you’re looking for a vacation home or short-term rental property with relaxed rental restrictions, Tampa may be the perfect city to diversify your real estate portfolio.

There’s steady job growth being created by higher-paying professional and business services. In turn, these business expansions have led to hyper-economic growth in Tampa. The result is that there’s a rapidly rising demand for housing in Tampa. The median price of single-family homes in Hillsborough County has grown by 27% to $400,000. In Pinellas County, the median price was around $370,000. You can typically find Downtown condos starting around $350,000 but can reach upwards of $2,000,000. Bungalows in popular areas like Hyde Park tend to start over $1M and go upward of $3M for those Bayshore waterfront views. But if you’re looking for a top-tier level of living, luxury waterfront homes in Sunset Park start around $2.4M!

Sunset Park, fabled for its fishing activity, features parks with old oak trees that line the canals in the area.

As you can see, this growing market is perfect for those that are looking to enjoy the sunny Florida Lifestyle within a bigger city. Complete with delicious local eateries, best-in-class shopping, diverse transportation systems, walkability, nationally awarded sports teams, and amazing properties at great values – you have the perfect blend of opportunities waiting to be explored.
